Hot Chocolate with Protein (avocado base)

Yes! You can absolutely have a chocolatey treat and get in that protein and healthy fat. One of my favorites in the morning, or pre-workout.



Hot Chocolate with Protein (avocado base)


5-10min prep


Ingredients (1 serving)


Gather the following:

  • 1T unsweetened cocoa powder (I prefer Guittard brand)

  • dash of cinnamon

  • pinch of salt

  • 2 scoops collagen powder

  • 2t light honey

  • 1/4 avocado


Directions


  1. Boil 8oz of water and pour into a pint size mason jar or your favorite mug.

  2. Add the cocoa powder, cinnamon, salt and collagen powder. Stir until smooth.

  3. Mash the avocado until no longer lumpy.

  4. Add the honey and the avocado to the drink mixture and blend with an immersion blender for best results. A drink frother can sometimes work if you have mashed the avocado very, very well. This step is important to avoid a lumpy drink!

  5. Sip, relax, refuel your body and soul. Enjoy!
